Basic features

  • The exams for all 22 papers will be delivered by a computerized test ONLINE (CBT). The online examination paper contains some questions for which numerical answers must be written by the candidate with the virtual keyboard. Remaining questions will be multiple choice question (MCQ) type.

  • Biometric information (photographs and fingerprints) for randomly selected candidates can be captured before the start of the examination.

  • GATE 2015 examination will be held during the morning sessions and afternoon alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between 31 January 2015 and 14 February 2015. The review of some of the documents in GATE 2015 will be out in several sessions. The exact details regarding full examination schedule will be notified at a later date.

  • GATE 2015 for the whole process of filling the application form, the burden of certificates / documents, etc., will be online and candidates should not send hard copy of your application form / documents, etc., any of IITs / IISc zonal GATE office.

  • Payment of application fees would be online through different modes such as net banking, credit / debit cards, e-challan, etc.

  • The GATE 2015 admit cards would be available only through the process. Candidates can download their admit card 2015 GATE website. Do not copy admit cards to the candidates was sent.

  • GATE 2015 score is valid for three years from the date of announcement of results
